When you fit well within a group, personal development becomes much easier. Fortunately, this was immediately clear when Ralph Zwart joined our warehouse team. Ralph never sits still, wants to prove himself every day, is a true team player, and often shares some random historical facts with the group. A real asset to the organization! Time to get to know him better.
Ralph is 44 years old, grew up in Utrecht, met his wife in Den Bosch, and now lives with his family in Rijen. If there is one specific trait we can highlight, it is that Ralph always wants to stay active. This is evident at Polyfluor but certainly in his spare time as well. “I enjoy sports. Currently, I practice judo, but I also played water polo for twenty years at De Treffers in Rosmalen. Being active and staying in motion is important to me, and, of course, it’s good for me. Additionally, the social aspect of sports is very nice. You are active together, which makes playing sports even more dynamic.” Besides his love for sports, Ralph also has a passion for history, particularly World War II. He inherited this interest from the inspiring and impressive stories of his grandfather, and now he passes on this passion to his son.
Since April 2, Ralph has been working at Polyfluor, after looking for a new challenge. His old employer is a customer of ours, and he also worked in the warehouse there. Thus, Ralph regularly came across the name and logo of Polyfluor. When he was looking for a new job and came across the logo again, this time on Indeed, contact was quickly made. “At the first interview, I immediately felt a connection. For that reason, I had a very good feeling and really wanted to start working at Polyfluor.”
At Polyfluor, Ralph works in the warehouse. Sending out shipments, processing incoming goods, managing inventory, and more. Ralph and his colleagues ensure that everything that goes in and out is processed and shipped in an organized and correct manner. And with great pleasure. “No day is the same, and that makes it very dynamic. This way, I can stay busy all day, and additionally, the collaboration and cohesion between colleagues are very pleasant. When we work, we are focused, but outside of that, there is always room for a joke and having fun together.”
In the past few months, Ralph has learned a lot about the working methods and processes within Polyfluor. “Every company works differently, but here we have a very nice and careful way of working. I have been well guided from the beginning, and that continues. The onboarding process worked really well, but especially the close collaboration with colleagues ensures my development, and that makes it very enjoyable.”
When we ask Ralph about the strength of Polyfluor as a company, he doesn’t have to think long. “The strength of Polyfluor is the collaboration. It is a compact company, making everything very personal. You are seen, you are a person and not a number.” After his onboarding period, Ralph now feels completely at home and wants to stay here for a long time. “Polyfluor is very satisfied with me, and I am very happy with this step. Looking to the future, I want to continue developing myself to take on more tasks from Jeffrey. I am ready for Polyfluor, just as they are ready for me.”
