PCTFE wordt veel gebruikt in ruimtevaart toepassingen vanwege de extreem lage uitgaswaarde. PCTFE is ook ideaal voor cryogene toepassing. Producten van PCTFE hebben uitstekende fysische, mechanische en elektrische eigenschappen, vuurbestendig, chemische weerstand en lage vochtabsorptie.
Opmerking: De chemische weerstand van elk polymeer wordt grotendeels bepaald door de chemische structuur van het materiaal en de sterkte van de zwakste schakel in deze structuur.
