In applications creating static charge (for example: using a medium with a high flow rate), we advise conductive (antistatic) PTFE tubing. When static charge is created it can ignite the medium (due to electric sparks) or can cause holes in the wall of the tubing. The filler in the tubing does not prevent static charge but provides a good and safe guidance. Conductive (antistatic) PTFE tubing is available from stock in smooth design.
Also possible to produce in convoluted design, in both metric and inch sizes. Delivery on coils, spools and cut lengths. Due to the filler, the colour of conductive (antistatic) PTFE tubing is often black.
We can also supply conductive (antistatic) PTFE tubes manufactured from FDA approved PTFE, mixed with "high purity" carbon black compliant with FDA 21 CFR 178.3297. Please specifically ask for this conductive (antistatic) tubing when you are looking for this variant.
