Polyfluor is known as both a PTFE specialist and also as a leader in PFA. PTFE is milky white in colour, while PFA is transparent with a light blue glow. Because Polyfluor seeks to provide a specific solution for every need, we change and continuously develop to ensure we meet every challenge that customers bring to us.

What is PFA (Perfluoro Alkoxy)?

PFA combines the many positive properties of both PTFE and FEP. This transparent plastic is mainly used when the plastic must be clear, there is a need for a high degree of flexibility, and a higher continuous working temperature is required.

Product Specifications

Polyfluor offers PFA products with a lower melting temperature than PTFE and are also chemically inert and have a very low dielectric constant, which makes it insulating. Further, it has very low friction. PFA from Polyfluor also has the following properties:

  • Lower melting temperature than PTFE
  • Transparent/clear
  • Low dielectric constant (insulating)
  • Chemically inert
  • Very low co-efficient of friction
  • Antistick properties
  • UV resistant (resistant to sunlight and does not age)
  • Not hygroscopic (water absorption <0.01%)
  • FDA approved
  • Working temperature from -200°C to +260°C
